A tea party and growing Josh.

Dana has been blogging up a storm lately so I thought I'd spell her off and guest blog today. But I had to first wrestle my camera back from her. She has been on fire with the photogging. I love it. Although if Dana really gets into it it could mean no early retirement for us.

Okay, so this morning we found the kids with this set up. Ironically they were having a tea party on top of the coffee table. Too bad we didn't get any video because it was quite entertaining. Eva and Micah are playing so well together.







When I got home Dana held Joshie's feet in place and I snapped a few pics of the tall guy. He's even giving out some smiles.




Later, Dana grabbed this shot of Josh and I. Josh actually hung out with me without crying for almost 10 minutes. WOW.

Joshua 11 Weeks, 4 Days

I haven't been very good at getting a weekly photo, but oh well. Also it's a little too chilly for a onesie shot. So much for good comparisons. Ah well. Somethin' is better than nothin'. I love these little overalls. I'm glad they're still big so he'll get a few more months out of them.

More Joshua

Joshua has really started to perk up these last few days. He now often has happy stretches on the change table which is so fun!! He kicks it out and makes these adorable happy noises and I just love it. Andrew said that this morning Joshua was grinning huge grins at Micah and him while I was in the shower. Awesome! He is really bright eyed and interested in the world around him. That is, when he's not making the face you see below. Which is still quite frequently. I wish I knew what flips his switch! Other than the carseat, of course. Though he does have his occasional quiet stretch there now. The good news is that we are seeing improvements and I'm SO glad.

He's making more eye contact now too. Up until recently, he generally preferred to look at fans and the stripes on the wall and things like that.

I took off his pants so this rug photo would be more comparable with the shot from a couple of weeks ago. He is 8 weeks 3 days old.

Six Weeks Plus One Day

No sense waiting for the Perfect Photo. Might as well post it as it is. We see this face quite a bit. I want to try to take this shot regularly as a way of documenting Joshua's growth.
