Park Photos, Tweaked

Andrew helped me tweak the park photos to make them look better. Turns out I had the camera stopped down and that's why most of the photos were kind of dark. Luckily I took them in RAW so he could easily adjust the exposure. And so here they are again!

This morning we met Darlene and Lori and their kids at the park. We enjoyed ourselves for almost two hours, and my kids still didn't want to leave. Micah spent the better part of the first hour on the swing (and me pushing him). Toward the end I got a chance to practice my photography skills. It was an important learning experience for me. I can see after the fact how I could have made them much better. But I am encouraged by some of them that I think turned out quite well!

This morning we went to downtown Torreon and Lerdo. No not Nerdo, Lerdo. Here are a few pics of our day....

An Old Building Downtown


She seemed like a very sweet lady. Micah and Eva made her grin.



This guy was carrying the usual bucket of flowers that I get Dana once a week. Wait a tick, have I ever bought Dana flowers? Yes, yes I have, Bill, Andrey and I bought our wives flowers together. I think we got a volume discount.


Guys, I found another vendor of hats. Not as big as the ones we bought in Guadalajara but these will do.


Wow...I stayed back from this dude. I think he had like 2 or 3 half tons on top of his half ton.


The Lerdo Park...

Parkazoid

Yesterday we took the kids to the park to try out some of the rides there. We went last year when Micah was only 7 months old but he could only watch. This time we could ALL ride. ALL of us did ride, however, after the 100th revolution on the tea cup ride I was done. I stumbled off the ride and watched Dana and the kids go one more time thinking how can they do that while giving them the "I'm okay wave and half smile". If we ever go to Disneyland, I'll hold the bags and watch the stroller. Wow do I have a weak stomach. Okay, back to what's really important....The Kids have their mother's love of rides and can handle them. Although, after seeing Micah on the Mary-go-Round I thought for sure he was going to yack. He looked green and completely disengaged. However, as soon as the ride ended he wanted to go again. Eva loved all the rides but her favourite was the Roller Coaster. What a fun time we had at the park and it was the perfect thing to do on a summer day in Torreon.
Next time we will try the 3x1 hotdogs and deepfried pigskin with hot sauce and make a picnic of it.

Weekend Update

Had a good weekend! Saturday morning we walked up to "The Wink" for some gorditas.




Mmmm, just as yummy as ever!

Then we walked to the park. The kids had a blast!

Andrew and Eva rented Toy Story 2. At least as big a hit as Toy Story 1. We have watched it quite a few times. I'm impressed with Eva's ability to watch an entire feature length film. Micah will actually sit and watch for quite a while as well.

Walk in the Park

I'm glad I'm not a full time parent. It is not a walk in the park. Wow, it's always complete mayhem when I'm at the parenting controls. My highlights included, Eva crying while watching Tigger, Micah peeing on the floor followed by a poo, Micah pouring the sugar bowl onto the table and no one eating anything I made. In conclusion, managing a manufacturing plant of 400 people is a walk in the park compared to parenting. Good on ya Dana and other mom's you are special.
To show you I'm not a complete moron with the kids, we did play in the park without any major injuries. Here are the pics to prove it....
