We have started reading C.S. Lewis's The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe with Eva and it is SO FUN!! I like picture books but I am SO excited to start sharing chapter books with Eva. The day after we read Chapter One, she came out of her room in the morning clutching the book and insisting we read Chapter Two immediately. I love her enthusiasm. It seems as though a fair amount of the phrasing is over her head (especially with it being set in England) but I am impressed with her level of comprehension.
Eva is practically dancing with excitement about reaching the chapter where we meet Aslan. It'll be a few days yet!
