I'm so excited for Eva! She has struggled with self-consciousness, worries about being laughed at, and often becomes somewhat paralyzed in social situations. Today we went to the park with Marcy and almost-7-year-old Jacob, and while we were there Eva decided to ask another little girl what her name was. This might not sound like a big deal, but believe me, it was a very big deal. She spoke clearly and loudly enough, and was rewarded by "Julianna". Soon after, Eva, Micah, Jacob and Julianna were running around playing light sabers, climbing up the slide and down the stairs. It was a very memorable moment that makes my heart so full.
We have done an awful lot of visiting here, and Eva has met lots of people she doesn't remember ever meeting before. These experiences have grown her so much over just a few weeks. I just want to cheer!
