Three and a Half is Good!

Age three was a big maturity milestone for Eva but I am seeing another big one now at three and a half. We don't have nearly so many battles of the will, for which I am so grateful. Days were often one uphill battle after another about simple, repetitive things like washing hands or putting on shoes. Eva's play style is evolving too. She still likes us to be involved, but now enjoys more alone playtime and independent play nearby. She is starting to discover the joys of Lego, and really getting into drawing and colouring. (Speaking of that, Micah is not eating nearly so many crayons! He is starting to get into the colouring too! Yipppee! This bodes well for our upcoming day of air travel.) Her imaginative play is really exploding. Today she made Andrew and me 'balloons' with stuffed animals and pipe cleaners. Eva is also getting very interested in Spanish. She asks me to teach her words and she pretends to talk in Spanish. Awesome! I'm excited about it and for her. It will open up her world.
